Rattan Bracelet

I adore rattan or cane home décor so it is no surprise this bracelet jumped out at me! The neutral color means it will go with every outfit. I cannot wait to wear it with my beach dresses!

La Granja

I want this outdoor eating area in my home! But I am willing to travel to Spain to enjoy it. The entire hotel is gorgeous. Even if you cannot visit Spain you have to go check out the pictures of this incredible hotel. Make sure to look at the poolside bar that is set under the most serene trees!

How to find Love in a Bookshop

I really enjoyed this beautiful story! Since I am a lover of all books this title instantly attracted my attention. The combination of a love of reading and music help to create the perfect setting for a beautiful romance. Several side stories, including one about a new mom whom I could whole hearted relate to, really rounds this story out to encompass all types of women. This can be a tear jerker at times but the book pulled me in and I couldn’t put it down until I finished it.

Sloppy Joes

This is one of our families’ favorite recipes! If you have not tried some of the “100 days of real food” recipes then you have to start here. This is such a great alternative to traditional sloppy joes out of a can and it honestly taste so so much better. You will not regret giving it a taste. I will add that I puree all the veggies before sautéing them which made this kid friendly for our family!

Mango Wood Vase

Don’t you just love these simple mango wood vases. I think these would be a great addition to any home décor style. I can picture it perfectly in my home, my sisters’ and mom’s. We all have very different taste when it comes to decorating our homes but I know we can all agree on these!

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks! Have a great weekend!

Summer Home Décor

Summer Home Décor

I adore seasonal touches for my home décor. It is such an easy way to change things up. I am constantly looking for ways to make our home feel happy and cozy! I went all light and bright with my picks for summer! I added just a few new fun pieces to my Kitchen and changed things up on my coffee table.

I really got into the citrus this year! I not only got a faux plant, tree and stems but I also got a fun citrus print. I do love decorating with subtle color and I find the little pops of color from fruit to be just right.

My coffee table is one of my favorite spaces to change up. I enjoy finding new items but I like moving things around that I already own even better. Of course my husband prefers when I just use what I already own! I wanted to add some lighter tones to my coffee table for the summer so I went with all neutral pieces. There is nothing that says summer like Palm stems and sea shells. I found this great hurricane at Target and decided to use it as a vase instead. These cane hurricanes are so popular right now and I have seen them everywhere. I thought at $10 this was a great price! I also got this whitewashed wood bowl at Target. I already had some reindeer moss leftover from another project so I decided to keep my bowl filler simple by just adding the green moss. I love my little artichoke and have had it for years. I am often asked where I got it but it is no longer sold so I linked a similar one below. Of course I had to include a candle and this lemongrass smells amazing. DRESS

I think this is the perfect beach dress! I liked it so much I sent it to my mom and sisters to purchase. The color combination is so bright and fun. I like the midi length and I do not mind a little sleeve on a lightweight dress. I can easily see using this dress for dinner on our summer vacation.

LITTLE BEACH STREET BAKERY

This is such an adorable book. I am an avid reader and bakery so this book was meant for me! Even though I am not a huge romance fan I like Jenny Colgan’s light hearted reads. I also am obsessed with traveling to Scotland these days so the amazing descriptions of this tiny Scottish island really make me smile. If you are looking for a quick light beach read this is the book for you!

THE GASPARILLA INN

I recently saw another Blogger’s (MaryandCrew) photos from her vacation to Gasparilla Inn and now I am hooked. I love a beautiful resort but to top it off this is a historic inn which gives it even more character. My husband and I have visited Boca Grande before but we did not stay here. The beaches here are gorgeous! We went to a public beach while in Boca Grande that was small and private. It was amazing!

GREEK YOGURT FRUIT TART

I have made this Fruit Tart from Sally’ Baking Addiction so many times and it gets better with each try! Not only is this delicious but it is a pretty healthy dessert. When I make the recipe I do not use as many dates I probably only use about 12. Depending on who I am making the dessert for I will change up the fruit toppings. My kids are not big fans of Kiwi so I go heaven on the berries for them. I have also made this for breakfast when I have guest who I know are watching what they eat. I would definitely recommend this recipe to everyone!

PLANTERS

These planters are so adorable! I like that they look like a basket but are cement. They will definitely hold up well outside. I am going to get two of the largest size planters for my side yard. I have some ferns that need planters so I think these will work perfect. I also saw a similar version of these on Amazon.

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks! Have a great weekend!

SCALLOPED MARBLE BOWL

I adore anything marble! This cute little bowl is so versatile. It can work as a dipping bowl, candle holder, dish brush holder, or used in numerous ways to add a layered look to your home décor. I want it for my side table to place a candle on. I would take every item June Home Supply has in their online store! They have so many great neutral pieces.

INA GARTEN’S ROAST CHICKEN

My family enjoys this recipe so much I make it at least twice a month. I do substitute the fennel for celery though. My kids do not like fennel so I had to adjust the recipe. I also often will substitute Olive oil for the butter. I have cooked the chicken both ways and do not find it makes a huge difference whether I use the butter or not. It does take over an hour to cook so I usually make this recipe on Sunday nights or I will prep it in the morning so I can get it in the oven as soon as I get home from the office. Our family highly recommends trying this simple yet delicious recipe.

THE PEARL HOTEL

The pictures of this hotel are gorgeous! A friend of mine stayed here one night on her way to Key West. She said the hotel is wonderful and more then worth the price tag. I think this will be a trip Brandon and I take on our own. Rosemary has a lot of great restaurants and shopping as well. I think I will spend my time by the pool or at the beach with a book.

LONGBOURN

I really enjoyed this book though I usually do not like to read books that imitate the work of Jane Austen. I am a huge fan of all of Jane Austen’s work and find that many modern romances are not to my taste. I decided to try this book because it had good reviews and I was in a lull. Sometimes I have periods where I cannot find a good book. I will try out lots of different books but none satisfy me so I never finish them. It was during a period like this that I decided to give this book a try. I am glad I did because it is not really a retelling of Pride and Prejudice at all. Pride and Prejudice is just the background story to this book and the main tale is about one of the servants in the Longbourn household. I would defiantly recommend this book. I enjoyed it with a cup of tea and some homemade scones. Reading and Baking are my favorite activities!

LEOPARD PRINT TEE

I find I am always buying clothes for work so that now I do not have nearly enough weekend outfits whether casual or for a night out. I saw this tee at the store and loved it. I like that it is comfortable and a great fit but also fun! I think the print really adds something special to this crew neck tee.

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks! Have a great weekend!

THE RITZ-CARLTON AT LAKE OCONEE

I have had several friends visit this Ritz-Carlton for a long weekend and they all raved about it. We were planning to go this past fall but Covid changed our plans. The resort is in Georgia so it is drivable from Louisiana which is a plus. Once we are able to plan our trip again I will give a review!

NAVY BERRY BOWLS

I love these berry bowls! Of course anything blue will catch my eye but I also really like the cute patterns. My sister-in-law introduced me to berry bowls. She has some cute ones that she keeps in her refrigerator full of berries and grapes. She can then easily pull out for guest or for her family. I loved the idea because my son loves fruit especially blueberries and strawberries. When I get home from the grocery I like to wash his fruit and keep them in these bowls so he can easily grab them for snacks.

SANDALS

These are such cute sandals! I love sandals that I can just slide on and be on my way. I like the color combo and how the navy pops against the white. I plain to wear these with dresses and rolled jeans. I will be able to wear these to the office too which is a huge plus.

NAPKINS

As soon as I saw these napkins I knew I had to order them. I have seen similar napkins but they were way out of my price range so I was excited when I found these. I love to create fun tablescapes for Saturday Night dinners. We love eating outside in the spring so we will get a lot of use out of these!

HURRICANES

I have been on the hunt for rattan hurricanes that I could use for candles but also as a vase for flowers. I love any décor that serves a dual-purpose! When I saw these unique hurricanes I knew I had to add them to my must have list! Of course since they are navy they have to go to the top of the list.

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks and you all have a good weekend!

RATTAN COUNTER STOOL/INDIAN CHAPATI/SUNGLASSES/SNEAKERS/SMALL VASE

Happy Friday! I am sharing my FRIYAY 5 today which is a combination of my 5 favorite things from the week whether it is fashion, design, beauty, travel, home décor or a book! Just click on the image below or the text above to go directly to the websites.

RATTAN COUNTER STOOL

I have to have these rattan stools for my kitchen! I love them and they are such a great price! Finding reasonably priced counter stools is never easy so when you find a stool that you love at a price you can afford buy them immediately.

INDIAN CHAPATI

I love these little wood stands and think they could be used in so many ways! You could use them on a coffee table for a layered look and put a candle on it or a small decorative item. I want one for my Kitchen. I will either put my soap and brushes on it or my salt and oils. This is a great price! I have seen them at other stores for quit a bit more.

SUNGLASSES

I just got these sunglasses at Target and they are so comfy. I love the style and the fit too. I like getting sunglasses for just $12 because if I misplace them, drop them or a child takes them then I am not devastated. I like to have a cheap pair for the beach too because I have ruined an expensive pair with the salt water.

SNEAKERS

I want these sneakers because they are a great neutral ton without just being completely plain. I love to wear sneakers on the weekend or on Fridays at the office so I know I would get a ton of use out of these.

SMALL VASE

This cute little vase is another versatile piece and not just because it is a neutral color. I want it for my home to put my dish brushes in and I think stacking it on the above Indian Chapati would be such a cute idea!

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks and you all have a great weekend!

BLUE PILLOW/WHITE LUMBAR PILLOW/STOOL/RATTAN TABLE/BASKET/BENCH

I love the versatility of this throw pillow because it can be used indoor or outdoors. I think I will order it for my outside lounging area. I already have a great navy outdoor rug which will pair perfect with this pillow. I cannot wait to get outside and start giving our yard some love! The recent cold weather did a number on our ivy and grass.

In my opinion you can never have too many neutral colored pillows especially white. I will be honest, I have two very messy kids and a black labradoodle but all of my white pillows have held up well. People shy way from white because they think it will get dingy quickly. I have not found that to be the case in our home.

This super cute stool would work in so many places. I love it in a bathroom or family room. You could use it under a console table or as an accent with books pilled on top. This would also work in a bedroom for a place to sit to put your shoes on. This is actually why my husband wants to purchase this stool for our bedroom!

This sweet little table is going to go in my niece’s room. She loves to read so we are creating her a comfy spot where she can have her iced coffees and a good book! She has gone back and forth so much with how she wants her “big girl” room to look that I have had difficulty buying pieces for her. This little table will work with pretty much any décor style whether she goes bohemian or preppy!

Everyone needs a basket right! This little white basket is unique, cute and functional! I am going to get this for my daughter’s room. She always always needs more storage. I love storage that is both cute and functional so that it can be a pretty display piece as well.

This great bench I picked for my brother’s house. He has a large master bedroom which is going to take a few accent pieces to make the room feel comfy and inviting. This is going to be perfect at the end of his bed. He complains about needing a place to put his shoes on so this will work perfect. I guess all men need a seat in their bedroom to put on shoes!

Hope you enjoyed my picks!
