HOME DECOR INSPIRATION FROM NINE & SIXTEEN

My first pick is from Tessa Foley at Nine and Sixteen. I want to add a rattan or woven bar cart to my dining area to store all my tablecloths and napkins. this is such a simple little corner she has created but it adds such a touch of cozy to her home. I found a great alternative to many of the super pricey rattan bar arts that I am going to order later this week. I have it pictured below. If you scroll through Tessa’s Instagram or her website you will see all the beautiful tablescapes she creates with her gorgeous tablecloths and napkins. As mush as I love them they are a little out of my price range so I have found some affordable alternatives I have shared below. Once my accent table comes in I will share my photos.

HOME DECOR INSPIRATION FROM MANDY ENO HOME

This next pick is from Mandy Eno Home Instagram account. She does not have a website but is prolific on Instagram and Pinterest. I love the cozy feel of her home. She does an amazing job of missing traditionally with the current trends. I have an pothecary chest that I am not really loving at the moment but as soon as I saw this picture I knew exactly what I wanted to do to fix my chest. I am ordering similar knobs but I went with a brushed brass look. You can see the options below as well as clicking on the link to be directed to the website. I also think I am going to change out my white shade for a black one.

HOME DECOR INSPIRATION FROM FLORA AND FONT

My last pick is from Flora and Font on Instagram. She also has a great print shop on Etsy Flora and Font. I love this tree print in the brass frame and want to put it in my home over the rattan accent table I mentioned above.

Happy Friday! I am sharing my FRIYAY 5 today which is a combination of my 5 favorite things from the week whether it is fashion, design, beauty, travel, home décor or a book! Just click on the image below or the text above to go directly to the websites.

THE CHILDBURY LADIES’ CHOIR

The Chilbury Ladies’ Choir by Jennifer Ryan is not my usual genre but I am so glad I gave this a try. It is a great read but I would recommend a box of tissues with this book. The book is about a group of women during WW2 who survive the war by singing! This is not just a book that delves into the relationship of a group of women but also a mystery and a love story. If you give it a try you will not be disappointed.

FOUR SEASONS JACKSON HOLE, WY

My husband and I went to the Four Seasons in Jackson Hole for a work retreat. I was fortunate that I just got to tag along for the vacation and was not required to work! We had a beautiful room with a fireplace and view of the mountains. I also loved that they have Nespresso machines in ever room which is my favorite espresso. I could have just been happy staying in our room but I did venture out to the spa and the pool both of which were beautiful and relaxing. When my husband was done we took the gondola to the mountain top. I want to return soon and bring our kids. There is so much to do…hiking, mountain biking, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone are near by as well.

LAYERED GOLD NECKLACE

If you cannot tell I like all things layered whether it is home décor or jewelry! I think this little necklace can go with everything. I could easily wear this with a casual tee or a work outfit. The simple gold chain necklaces are so popular right now and all my nieces love these pieces. I think I will give this necklace to one of my nieces for her birthday.

LIBRARY TABLE LAMP

I am obsessed with this table lamp. It is so classic and will work in any room! I want it for my husband’s office to go on the corner of his desk. It is just so elegant with a traditional feel. This table lamp would work in my more transitional home and my mom’s traditional home.

ONE POT WILD RICE CHICKEN + VEGGIE PILAF

My husband loves this recipe! I have to make it twice a month for him. I will admit it is one of my favorites too. The combination of the rice, carrots and chicken is perfection. This is a warm comfort food meal and I love to make it for our Sunday Night dinner. I do not add in the mushrooms since my husband nor kids like them. I do not think it takes away from the recipe by omitting them. I would recommend everyone try this recipe out!

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks and you all have a great weekend!

Happy Friday! I am sharing my FRIYAY 5 today which is a combination of my 5 favorite things from the week whether it is fashion, design, beauty, travel, home décor or a book! Just click on the image below or the text above to go directly to the websites.

RATTAN COUNTER STOOL

I have to have these rattan stools for my kitchen! I love them and they are such a great price! Finding reasonably priced counter stools is never easy so when you find a stool that you love at a price you can afford buy them immediately.

INDIAN CHAPATI

I love these little wood stands and think they could be used in so many ways! You could use them on a coffee table for a layered look and put a candle on it or a small decorative item. I want one for my Kitchen. I will either put my soap and brushes on it or my salt and oils. This is a great price! I have seen them at other stores for quit a bit more.

SUNGLASSES

I just got these sunglasses at Target and they are so comfy. I love the style and the fit too. I like getting sunglasses for just $12 because if I misplace them, drop them or a child takes them then I am not devastated. I like to have a cheap pair for the beach too because I have ruined an expensive pair with the salt water.

SNEAKERS

I want these sneakers because they are a great neutral ton without just being completely plain. I love to wear sneakers on the weekend or on Fridays at the office so I know I would get a ton of use out of these.

SMALL VASE

This cute little vase is another versatile piece and not just because it is a neutral color. I want it for my home to put my dish brushes in and I think stacking it on the above Indian Chapati would be such a cute idea!

I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks and you all have a great weekend!

Simple and Easy Spring Project

Simple and Easy Spring Project

I have had a bad case of Spring Fever. Now that the weather here in Louisiana has been in the 70s I am ready to bring in some spring home décor. I have always loved the glass vases that have white, black or navy paint on the lower half. So when I saw the prefect Vase at Target for only $20 I had to purchase it. If you cannot find this vase than the larger size would work perfect on a Kitchen table or Console Table! I also got some painters tape and navy spray paint (any gloss spray paint in your preferred color works) while at Target. I then headed over to Michaels and purchased some white tulips!

I started by measuring 4 inches from the base of the vase and marking it. If you prefer you can do a smaller measurement like 2 or 3 inches and it will look just as good. I then placed an entire band around the 4 inch mark with painters tape. I continued wrapping the painters tape until I had covered the entire top portion of the vase. You can see my final tapping pictured below.

I then spray painted the vase keeping the can vertical and 8 inches away. I did slow back and forth motions so that the pint went on nice and smooth with no drips. And that is it! It is super simple and only took me 15 minutes tops. I then arranged my tulips in the vase and it is sitting on my coffee table. It is such an easy addition that really brightens up my home.

Hope you enjoyed my simple Spring Project!
