BY JENNY COLGAN
Whenever I want an indulgent read that is short and sweet I always go for a Jenny Colgan book. Her books always make me happy and take me away to another place…Scotland! She is so great at drawing you in with her beautiful descriptions of her home country. I will say I am not always in the mood for a romance book but when I am Jenny Colgan is one of my go to authors. This is a sweet book about a single mom who just needs a little help and she finds just what she is looking for in a small quaint Scottish town.

I saw this scalloped jute rug on the Harlowe James website and feel in love. If you have never looked at her site you should try it out. I love all her great vintage finds too. I like the idea of getting this adorable rug in the small size to use as a mat either in my Kitchen or in my guest bathroom. I like buying from small shops on Esty so this is a win win all around.

Scotland has been on my bucket list since I was in college. My husband and I went to London for a short 6 day trip and I really wanted to add on some time to travel to Edinburgh if nothing else but sadly we could not make it happen. I am trying to now plan a Scotland and Ireland trip for all 4 of us. I think my kids will love it. They are great travelers and love experiencing new things. They are also always willing to try new foods which makes travel with them even more fun. They are happy in a Michelin Star Restaurant or a dive. My kids get just as much enjoyment from an incredible meal as my husband and I do. Our kids favorite meal is going to a local Spanish restaurant for escargot and paella then walking down the street to our favorite coffee shop for some Gelato.

I absolutely LOVE this vinaigrette!! I use it in salads, on some orzo pasta with a sprinkle of parmesan, or as a chicken marinade for the grill. This is such a versatile recipe. I always have the ingredients on hand so it is handy to have on those weeknights when I cannot find inspiration to whip up something. I include the honey or maple syrup and the dried thyme even though she says it is optional. I cannot recommend this recipe enough!

I am always on the hunt for a good coverup so when I saw this best seller on Amazon I had to order it. I loved it so much I told my twin sister who ordered it as well. I like that it fits loose and longer in the back to cover up the back of my thighs.
I hope you enjoyed my weekly picks! Have a great weekend!
