I adore creating a beautiful table for my family to eat, enjoy and relax. For Mother’s Day I always create my table but my husband must do the cooking and cleaning up. I bought some throw away plates to make the clean up quick and easy for my husband. Even my table runner is paper. I also love going to whole foods and buying all my favorite flowers. I purchased some gorgeous pink peonies along with green and white hydrangeas. I love pink because it is so bright, happy and feminine. And since we are celebrating my mom, my sister and myself I felt pink was appropriate. I also created a sweet little kids table so we could all sit in the same room together for some family time. I used round gold placemats and my everyday dishware then layered white ruffled paper plates that I purchased from At Home. I finished it all off with gold glitter scalloped plastic plates and gold utensils. The cute heart tags served as our name cards and the kids loved them.

The kids table was mainly for my daughter so I changed the place settings up a little bit. I used pink scalloped plates that I had leftover from one of my niece’s birthday parties and pink utensils. The pink bird was a great Target find from their dollar section. I actually moved my daughter’s play table into out eating area for more seating. I did not want a full size table because it would have crowded things too much. We added some faux hydrangeas to finish off this sweet little table.
My husband made a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch with all the essentials…eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, gravy and he bought some amazing breakfast pastries from our local French bakery, Pouparts. He also bought “Mother’s Day” sugar cookies, flower meringue cookies and a chantilly cake from the bakery! We paired our desserts with some coffee and baileys. The brunch was a treat not only for my mom, sister and I but also my dad and the kids.
May you have a wonderful Mother’s Day and be pampered as we were!
Happy Mother’s Day,
